Greetings,

for awhile now we 've noticed that a few of our (Hyperthreaded) IBM x335 x86
servers have been experiencing load approaching .5 or so, even when idle.
While I 've heard of the issues with U1 and large amounts of RAM, these boxes
only have half a gigabyte, so I 'm fairly sure this isn 't the issue.

The last time we saw this issue we had the opportunity to turn off all our
custom software completely, leaving a very quiet box with only sshd listening
to the outside world.. and a .5 load average was maintained for well over an
hour before mysteriously disappearing.

Has anyone seen behaviour even remotely close to this on any other RHEL box,
or might be able to shed some light on what may be happening?
