Try manually telnetting from the box in question to ensure it isn 't a
local issue to that system. Also restart nscd if you have it running,
and ensure you have no entries in /etc/hosts. If you 're using an http
proxy, ensure that it, too, has correct DNS entries and also take the
steps above on that system as well.
