I suppose konqueror quit using (or never has used) fam. I restarted xinetd
and konqueror still updates the directory contents properly. strace shows
is stat 'ing the current directory in a loop.
Nautilius uses fam and restarting xinetd will now give a "fam connection
lost " message. Before it didn 't.
