If you have an Abit KR7A-133 or other motherboard with the VIA 8233A
southbridge and are dismayed by the terrible IDE performance, check
out bugzilla bug 64153 at

There 's a tiny patch that makes the kernel treat it as an ATA-100
chipset instead of ignoring it as unidentified. This bumps
performance from 6MB/s to 35MB/s for me. I suppose I reported it too
late into the QA cycle for it to get fixed.
If anyone needs it, I can also supply an RPM.
