Upgrade from Skipjack to Valhalla

Now that I have a nice workstation running Skipjack, I want to get
Valhalla on here as my choice OS.

Most of what I do is Evolution email and I have some files in my home
directory that I can ftp to my server before I wipe clean and reinstall.

While I am waiting on isos to download, I thought I 'd work on backing up
my system. Is there a datafile for Evolution I can save as well as my
rules for sorting mail? I 've never had a box that I needed to keep info
from going from one install to another.

Is there anything else I should backup before I start clean?
