Dell PowerEdge 2600 server with a PERC4/DI megaraid scsi RAID card. I
have 2 questions
1) How do I tell if I have ES 2.1 UI just ran up2date -uif on a newly installed 3WS client and I am getting
openoffice.org-1.1.0-15.EL what is going on? 1.1 is supposed to be in
the new beta I am not subscribbed to the beta channel
uhmm .never mind. It 's the damn stupid printer fault. Somehow restarting the
printer fixed the problem. And I wasted 2 hours trying to fix it on the
server. The funny thing was that printing from
OK something funky is going on with this machine. I came in this morning and
tried to print an email from Kmail. It wont print.

I am running RHEL3 WS mostly in runlevel 3 since it 's just a webserver. This
morning I tried to start X with it. Login as my user and run startx I just
get the big X mouse pointer but I recently upgraded the a SonicWall (Pro-VX) on our secondary Internet
link and now the bloody thing is consistently generating log messages
about "Malformed IP packet dropped ".
... so why am INoah Bate is out of the office until April 19. Please contact the department office directly for assistance during his absence.

I use up2date on ES3. I had packages of name kernel*
marked to be skipped. I recently ran up2date and
overrode this flag by manually marking the kernel
packages to be downloaded.
The packIs there anyway to pass an mtu of 9000 to kickstart in order to install
over the network?

Have you noticed RHEL 3 WS is missing xcdroast?
No problem. I 've downloaded the latest tarball from 0.98alpha15 from
http //xcdroast.org and using previous version of Red Hat xcdroasAnyone else a lot of filesystem errors (enough to lock up the server)
when using ext3 filesystems? We are seeing this on a lot of machines
lately. Really thinking of using XFS instead.

Many of my RHEL3 U1 boxes (x86 and x86-64 ES and WS) seem to crash

I got a new laptop with 1900x1200 default resolution and so have been
trying to get the fonts big enough to read... after a lot of fiddling I
got everything butI can 't start my KDE session when I log on as myself. I can start a
gnome session as myself. I can log on as root to a kde session.
